Dongying, a city of east China's Shandong province, exported rubber tires worth 4.384 billion yuan in January-April this year, down 9.1 percent year on year.
Shandong Xingyuan Group and Shandong Winda Boto exported tires of 480 million yuan and 461 million yuan, respectively, in January-April, ranking the first and the second among the tire exporters in Dongying.
In April alone, Dongying's tire export value shrank nearly 28 percent on year to 1.172 billion yuan, a decline of 7.25 percent from March.
Compared to February, March saw a sharp increase in the tire export value in Dongying.
Dongying, one of China's major tire production bases, accounts for about 20 percent of the country's radial tire production capacities.
In 2015, Dongying produced 147.79 million pieces of radial tire covers, up 4 percent from 2014.
