China adjusts rubber duties

anti-dumping duties chloroprene rubber Japan

The Ministry of Commerce has decided to adjust anti-dumping duties on chloroprene rubber imported from Japan to 20.8 percent starting from Friday.

The change was made according to the ministry's anti-dumping review on imports from Japanese company Denki Kagaku Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha at the request of Chinese companies that claimed the original anti-dumping tax was too low.

The review found that the Japanese company had dumped its exports in China at a margin of 20.8 percent.

Chloroprene rubber, commonly known as neoprene, is mostly used to manufacture electrical cables and waterproof products.
