China's tyre export nosedive 34% in April

On May 23, China's Customs released tire export datas of April.

Statistics showed that China exported 370,000 tons of rubber tyre in April, monthly reducing 230,000 tons, yearly declining 33.5%. Meanwhile, China's export value monthly reduced 3.513 billion yuan to 5.896 billion yuan, yearly decreasing 34.1%.

Amongst, there were 350,000 tons of new pneumatic tyres exported in April, yearly declining 34.1%, and export value also reduced 3.5 billion yuan, yearly down by 34.9%.

China's Customs explained that affected by COVID-19 outbreaking overseas, China's export suffered serious lash in April.

Adding to domestic epidemic affection, China's tyre export obviously expanded in the first four months.

Statistics showed that there were 1,730,000 tons of tyre exported in the first four months, yearly decreasing 14.3%, up 7.2 percentage points compared to decrease in the first quarter, and 27.58 billion yuan of accumulated export value at the same time, yearly decreasing 17.4%, up 6.1 percentage points compared to decrease in the first quarter.

Amongst, there were 1,660,000 tons of new pneumatic tyres exported, yearly decreasing 14.4% compared to the same period of 2018.

On the side of tire export volume, there was an obviously decline in the past four months.

There were 130 million units of tyres accumulated exported in the first four months, yearly decreasing 17.5%. With more and more overseas orders canceled since April, China's tyre export would be hard to recover to normal level in short terms.
