The U.S. Customs announced on Nov. 3 that with respect to the rules of WTO and the provisions of Tariff Act of 1930, the U.S. Department of Commerce suspended imposing anti-subsidy tariff on the truck and bus tires from China after executing the preliminary ruling for 120 days.
It means that from Nov. 2, 2016, the U.S. Customs will no longer impose anti-subsidy tariff on the truck and bus tires from China.
The suspension will last until the U.S. International Trade Commission issues the final impairment decision on the case.
The date of the final decision is expected to be on Jan. 19, 2017; and ITC will vote for whether Chinese tires have impaired the tire industry in the U.S. on Feb. 22.
