Non-tire rubber products see better sales

The list of the world’s top 50 non-tire rubber products for 2017 was released. The non-tire rubber sector showed better performance as stated below:

First, sales revenues have increased.

The overall sales value of the 50 enterprises increased 4.8% year on year, escaping the years-long descending channel.

A total of 34 enterprises’ sales revenues increased, while only 16 earned fewer sales revenues.

Second, the profits and gross profit margins have surged.

Among the 34 enterprises reporting higher sales revenues, 18 of them gained more profits, 16 had less; profits of seven enterprises surged over 50%, and three over 100%.

With respect to the gross profit margin, those of eight enterprises rose over 10%.

Third, the investment confidence has also increased.

The investment in non-tire rubber sector became increasingly active since 2016.

Elmar Degenhart, chairman of Continental AG, said the company will retain its leadership through investment and acquisition.

In the coming five years, ContiTech expects its sales revenue will reach 10 billion euros.
