The master plan of rubber material industrial cluster of Laixi, Qingdao, Shandong province, was published on Dec. 5 for the first time for environment impact assessment.
The industrial cluster is expected to be a key rubber material base in northern Qingdao as well as a pillar industrial base of Laixi city.
According to the Environment Protection Bureau of Qingdao, the master plan consists the western region, covering an area of 2.7 square kilometers, and the eastern region, covering an area of about 1.7 square kilometers.
The industrial base will deploy a number of rubber material production and public facilities areas in the two regions.
Rubber chemical is a pillar industry in Laixi, with good industrial foundation and a complete industrial chain.
After years' development, the rubber material industrial cluster has become a high-tech industrial cluster that includes tire processing and advanced material R&D.
To facilitate the development of the rubber material industry as well as the economic development of Laixi, Qingdao specially made the master plan for the industrial base.
