Chinese firm develops new tire press

Guilin Rubber Machinery has recently developed a 45.5-inch steel-tire curing press, according to a news release by ChemChina.

With the new machine, said the release, the stability and precision of the mechanical arm are improved greatly, and vulcanization time is reduced by 20 seconds, leading to enhanced productivity.

According to the report, permanent insulation is added to the vulcanizing chamber plates, which reduces heat loss by 50 percent, hence improving energy efficiency.

GRM is affiliated to the China National Chemical Equipment Corp and is one of China’s main rubber equipment research and development, production, and export operations.

GRM’s main products include tire building machines, double-plex extruding lines, tilt-back presses, vertical and slide-back motion presses, and hydraulic presses.

The company covers a wide range of tire production and can produce over 500 tire vulcanizers and 32,000 tons of rubber equipment annually.

ChemChina also opened a new subsidiary in London—ChemChina (UK) Ltd.—to complement sister company ChemChina (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. in order to build what ChemChina described as “around-the-clock trading networks.”
