Major personnel adjustments in Chinese tire industry in 2016

Aeolus Tire

Wang Feng resigned as president from Aeolus Tire on March 15, 2016, and was replaced by Bai Xinping, general manager of China National Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd., in April, 2016.

In October 2016, personnel adjustment swept across the company, involving positions of general manager, vice general manager, marketing director, sales director, finance director, operation director, R&D director and business director.

Five senior executives resigned in 2016.

After that, three former senior executives of Pirelli, became the general manager, vice general manager and CFO of Aeolus Tire.

The major personnel adjustment at Aeolus Tire showed the company and Pirelli are working on mutual penetration, after the latter was acquired by China National Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd., the controlling holder of Aeolus Tire.


Qingdao Doublestar

Qingdao Doublestar hired Li Ke as the securities representative in late February 2016.

On November 21, 2016, Ma Jianhua, former finance director of Qingdao Doublestar resigned. Zhang Zhengtao became the new finance director on the second day.

Sailun Jinyu

In June 2016, Zhao Ruiqing, former vice CEO of Sailun Jinyu resigned. Zhao became the third vice chief that left the company within a year, following Hao Shude and CFO Ren Jiatao.

The company’s actual controller Du Yudai became the new chairman in December, and Yan Wanhua became the new president and vice chairman.

The new board also selected new vice CEO, vice president, CFO, board secretary and securities representative.

Sailun Jinyu also changed the head of its European branch in 2016.

Hankook

Hankook appointed the former head of OE department as the new head of Hankook China in 2016.

China is the fastest-growing market for Hankook.


Triangle Tire

On December 30, 2016, Triangle Tire announced to adopt the rotating general manager system. Under the new system, the company will not have a regular general manager, while the six vice general managers will take turns to hold the position of general manager, each for one year.


Song Qikeng became the first rotating general manager on January 1, 2017.
